Naturism

16 Fun things to do on a naturist campsite

1. Relax

Let’s start with maybe the most important activity of all: just relax. You’re on holiday, this is the time of the year to let your job, your worries, and the dirty laundry behind. Just get installed, take off your clothes, take a deep breath, and just relax. For the following days, just indulge yourself into your naturist vacation.

2. Get an equal tan

There are only two types of people in the world who have an equal tan: those who go to solariums and naturists. As solariums are not particularly healthy, it’s much better to just get naked and let nature do it’s thing.

3. Swim

When you ask naturists what their favourite activity is, most will tell you that it’s swimming. The feeling of being in the water without a bathing suit is just something magical. It’s an absolute feeling of freedom. When you get out of the water, there’s no annoying piece of fabric pulling up your buttocks and your body is dry by the time you get back to your sun bed.

4. Sports

Many naturists also like to practice sports other than swimming. There are a variety of reasons for this. Not being restricted by clothing doesn’t just help you move better, it’s also great to improve your body image. In the case of petanque, it’s mostly practiced for the social aspect though.

5. Nature walks

Naturism and nature, it’s an unbreakable bond and having a naked walk in the forest really helps connecting to your natural surroundings. At L’Eglantière, we have several kilometers of hiking trails for you and we also regularly organise guided walks around the domain.

6. Learn a skill

A holiday is also a great time to learn something new. We weekly organise several workshops that are both educational and entertaining. Have you always wanted to learn to paint? Or to be a model? Is fishing something for you? Or do you want to take a massage course? This and lots more can be found at our domain.

7. Get papered

Crafts, sports, walks, that must have made you tired. You could go have a nap, or you can get your muscles loosened by having a massage or by spending some time in the sauna. Vacation is also about getting pampered and we have the perfect facilities for that.

8. Yoga and meditation

Just like many things, yoga and meditation are best practiced without clothes. This makes it much easier to connect to your surroundings and to your inner self. You can do this with a group during one of our sessions, or just pick a spot in the forest or next to the river and have your own private session.

9. Disconnect

A naturist domain is also the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world. We do have really good cell phone reception and wifi at L’Eglantière, but we would advise you to not use it from time to time. Not for us, but for you. The outside world can wait, you’re now part of our little paradise and we want you to enjoy it to the fullest. Enjoy the moment and check your phone when you’re back home.

10. Read

Many people love reading, but just never find the time for it. Well, now is a good time. We have plenty of secluded spots where you won’t be disturbed and where you can be totally soaked up in a romantic story or a good thriller.

11. Have a picnic

When someone says France, we think wine, cheese, and charcuterie. The love for France often goes through the stomach. Not a single day goes by when there’s no local market in the area where you can buy these local specialties and if you don’t want to put your clothes on, you can always find something delicious in our campsite shop too. The best place to enjoy your discoveries is on a blanket next to the river in the evening sunlight.

12. Wine and dine

For more wining and dining, there is our restaurant where we daily serve some of the best that France has to offer. Several times a week, you have the chance to join a communal dinner. Our guests love these. Not just for the food but also for the company.

13. Make friends

Everybody makes new friends during the communal dinners, but you don’t have to wait for them if you want to meet people. Naturism is a very social thing. Especially around the swimming pool, in the bar and during the activities, you’ll find plenty of interesting people to have a chat with. Sometimes a simple “good afternoon” is the start of a long conversation that keeps going until the evening and is even picked up again the day after.

14. Watch a show

During the summer months, local artists find their way to L’Eglantière to entertain our guests with their craft. We often have bands playing that will get you on the dance floor in no time. Sometimes they’ll take you to higher grounds with Tibetan scales and sometimes it’s just something totally different. Often surprising and always entertaining.

15. Sing karaoke

How about your skills? Is your voice worth a Grammy or is it rather something used to scare the cat out of the house? We don’t care. Our karaoke nights are not a contest and the only prize to win is the smile of the audience. We appreciate your participation more than your performance and karaoke is just a great way to have a very entertaining evening.

16. Nothing

This list is quite comprehensive but still far from complete. There are so many things that you can do at a naturist campsite. Alone, with your partner or family, or with a complete group of strangers that will soon become new friends. But maybe you don’t want to do any of this. Maybe the only thing you want is do absolutely nothing. That’s great, naturist campsites also happen to be the perfect place for doing nothing at all.
